The Charter Township Supervisor coordinates the administration of Township government, is the Township’s agent for all legal business and sees that all laws and Township ordinances are enforced. In addition to the following duties:

• Moderates board and annual meetings
• Secretary to Board of Review
• Township’s legal agent
• Must maintain records of supervisor’s office
• Member of the township budget committee
• Appoints some commission members
• May call special meetings

fire and ambulance

The township is a member of the BIRCH fire department. The township is billed annually for this service based on a set formula. We do not assess any millage on your property taxes for this service. All funds for this currently come from the state shared revenues and reserves. Mercy Ambulance services the township.

ROADS

The township meets annually with the Barry County Road Commission to determine which area roads will have what work done to them in the current year. NO millage is assessed for this; all funds for this currently come from the state shared revenues and reserves.
